Andrea Skov achieves Case Discontinuation for client
Associate Solicitor Andrea Skov successfully secured the discontinuation of her client’s case on 18th December following detailed representations made to the CPS.
While the offence was technically made out and the client had been charged, Andrea argued that continuing with the prosecution was not in the public interest given the unique circumstances of the case. These included a false allegation from a member of the public, significant damage caused to the client’s vehicle by the police, and the client’s previous good character.
As a result, the CPS discontinued with proceedings.
