Shauna Marriott graduated from university in the summer of 2021 with an LLB in Law with Criminology.
Shauna predominately works on a wide variety of serious criminal offences, assisting individuals at all stages of their proceedings. She regularly supports and advises clients through their Crown Court proceedings by meticulously preparing their case for trial.
Shauna regularly assists senior colleagues, in representing those accused of violent crimes, including murder, GBH, ABH and common assaults.
She also undertakes a range of financial criminal defence work, for individuals charged with Fraud and Money Laundering offences.
She often defends individuals who are facing prosecutions brought by The FCA, The SFO, HMRC as well as prosecutions brought by the likes of the RSPCA and other private agencies.
Shauna assists senior colleagues in representing individuals involved with ongoing Public Enquiries.
Shauna is currently studying for the SQE (Solicitor Qualifying Exams), with the aim to qualify as a solicitor in 2025.
R-v-W – Assisted senior colleagues in representing an individual who was accused of laundering bitcoin to the value of 2.5 billion pounds, derived from a 6 billion pounds Chinese fraud.
R-v-M. – Assisted a senior colleague in defending a registered nurse in multi-handed care home abuse prosecution following undercover investigation by BBC Panorama.
R-v B-A – Assisted a senior colleague in representing an individual charged with a single-handed murder which was heard at The Old Bailey.
R-v-S – Assisted a senior colleague in representing an individual charged with a 6-handed murder. The case was originally discontinued in 2018 but was reactivated following a further investigation.
