The Rt Hon Sir Michael Ellis KBE KC is a former Attorney General for England and Wales under two Prime Ministers. He also served as Solicitor General. Sir Michael was the MP for Northampton North between 2010 and 2024.
He was a barrister in criminal practice between 1993 and 2010 when he was first elected to Parliament. Whilst in Parliament he has served in eight ministerial roles under four Prime Ministers and has been appointed to Cabinet on three separate occasions.
During Sir Michael’s time at the independent Bar he specialised almost exclusively in criminal litigation as an experienced trial advocate. As part of our team, he will add value to our client matters with both advice and strategy.
