Welcoming Rob Newbould to the Blackfords LLP Team
We are delighted to announce that Rob Newbould has joined Blackfords LLP as a Partner within our Regulatory Team, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to the firm. Rob will serve as our lead expert in Police Misconduct and Disciplinary Proceedings, a field in which he is nationally recognised.
Rob’s extensive career includes acting across the entire spectrum of criminal and disciplinary investigations and proceedings, from representing clients during investigatory interviews to conducting hearings in criminal courts and tribunals.
His particular expertise lies in the representation of police officers of all ranks facing criminal, regulatory, and misconduct allegations. Rob is also qualified to advise police officers and staff on post-incident procedures (PIM) following police firearm discharges, deaths in custody, or high-speed driving pursuits. Additionally, he routinely advises on Coroner inquest procedures arising from such events.
Rob is well known for handling highly complex and sensitive cases, including those involving allegations of corruption, white-collar fraud, and high-profile matters that attract significant media interest.
